WARDOGS regional Early Access schedule

Steam currently exposes a schedule equivalent to 16:00 UTC on Thursday, September 10, 2026. That converts to 17:00 in the UK and 12:00 US Eastern. BULKHEAD and Team17 have announced the date, but neither has separately promised this exact hour.

Treat every conversion below as a planning aid. Valve can move a store unlock field, so confirm the purchase state and available build on Steam on launch day.

August Closed Beta access, separated

The August Closed Beta had two routes. Pre-ordering guaranteed access to that dated event; Steam Request Access was free but only offered a chance. The distinction is historical now and must not be reused as a promise for September 2 or another test.

What a pre-order buys now

The August Beta perk is gone. The current US pre-purchase price is the same $39.99 standard price shown for Early Access, while the Supporter Edition is $49.99. The official Steam Early Access FAQ says the full release is planned to cost more, but it does not guarantee a particular increase date or amount.

Pre-ordering now is therefore a purchase decision, not an access shortcut. Steam’s refund rules—not a fan-site promise—control eligibility. Valve says a title that is not playable before release can be refunded any time before release; the standard 14-day window begins on release day, while the two-hour playtime limit still applies. Valve decides each outcome.

The historical Steam Playtest route

BULKHEAD used Steam Playtest for the August Beta. These steps explain that completed process and may help readers recognize a future test, but no later event inherits them automatically.

1. Request Access lived on the Steam store page

   The free route used Steam's Playtest box above the purchase controls. Clicking Request Access registered interest on the player's Steam account, but it did not promise selection or a response time.

2. Wishlisting never guaranteed an invitation

   A wishlist can help players follow store updates, but it was not the same as an access grant. The official August wording only guaranteed the Beta to pre-orders; Request Access offered a chance.

   The completed event ran through the WARDOGS Playtest entry on Steam. Historical access rules do not automatically apply to the September 2 session or any later test; every new event needs its own terms.

One continuous weekend window

The Closed Beta was one continuous window from Friday, August 21 at 17:00 UTC to Monday, August 24 at 02:00 UTC. Players did not reserve separate daily sessions.

Access systems

Do not mix FirstLook with Steam Playtest

The August 7–9 Closed Alpha used BULKHEAD’s FirstLook community program. The August 21–24 Closed Beta used Steam Playtest instead. Eligibility steps were specific to each event, so carrying an Alpha instruction into the Beta mixes two access systems.

FirstLook may still matter for a future research test, but it is not required to buy the public Early Access build. Follow the official community portal for any new eligibility terms rather than carrying old rules forward.

NDA status

NDA and publishing rules for the completed Beta

Yes. The official August 20 schedule notice lifted the NDA before the Closed Beta opened and allowed players to capture, publish, and stream that session. This differed from the earlier Alpha embargo. Public Beta footage should still be judged by its recorded build date; it reflects that test build, not launch-day balance.

September timeline

The next three WARDOGS checkpoints

No Early Access preload window or final download size is confirmed. Steam lists 50 GB of available storage in both requirement tiers; that is storage capacity, not proof of a 50 GB download. Start the game from Steam after it finishes updating, and do not rely on unverified launch-day error-code predictions.

Do not assume Closed Beta cash, XP, or unlocks will carry into Early Access. No official carry-over guarantee was found in the current launch sources, so the safe expectation is to treat September 10 as a fresh public build until BULKHEAD states otherwise.
